As the Catholic community discusses Obama's decision to lift the Mexico City policy, Catholics United calls on our fellow Catholics to support the President in his effort at finding common ground efforts aimed at reducing abortion. Unfortunately, some Catholics are taking a more incendiary approach.

On Friday Bill Donohue, in a desperate attempt to generate media attention, issued an inaccurate and racially charged press release critical of President Obama’s executive order reversing the Mexico City policy. Instead of focusing attention on the looming economic crisis that will surely result in higher abortion rates, Bill Donohue continues to pursue the politics of division and fear.
