Insights enhancements show how fans are interacting
We have upgraded Facebook Insights to help Facebook Pages administrators better understand how engaging their posts are. The enhancements show how users are interacting with your content in the stream, both on your Page’s Wall and in News Feed on their home page.

New Metrics

New metrics include total interactions on your Page, user interactions per Page post, Post Quality, posts (by the Page), media consumption (photo, audio, and video), and the number of fans who have hidden your Page from their stream.

“Interactions This Week” and “Interactions Over Time” include Likes, Wall Posts, and comments on content such as photos, videos, notes or links.

“Post Quality” summarizes how engaging your posts have been to users in the past seven days. Posts that generate many interactions (comments or Likes) per fan will increase the score. Posts that elicit few interactions will lower it. By monitoring how the content, style, and timing of your posts impact both interactions and removal from the stream, you can optimize both the number of people who view what you share and how frequently they reciprocate your sharing.

“Top Countries,” “Top Cities”, and “Top Languages” show where your fans come from, which may be helpful if you are using targeted Facebook Ads to grow your fan base.

Comparing the demographic split for “Active Fans This Week” to the demographic split for “Total Fans” sheds light on which fans are most engaged with your Page, which may also inform which sorts of fans to acquire.
