UNSETTLED: Resonance Pictures / Resonance Interactive Intern Search

Resonance Pictures / Resonance Interactive Intern Search
Resonance Pictures and Resonance Interactive are independent production companies founded by Director/Producer Adam Hootnick, focusing on feature film projects (narrative and documentary) as well as development of short-form video content for online distribution, particularly in social media. Resonance Pictures’ first feature film was the award-winning documentary UNSETTLED (www.UNSETTLEDmovie.com).

Resonance seeks one to three summer interns with an interest in film production (documentary and narrative), web and social media distribution platforms for film and video content, and community-building around film and video content. Internships at the Resonance NYC office in Soho begin in June 2009.

Interns may do any or all of the following:
- Assist in production of upcoming music video and short film projects
- Assist in research for projects currently in development
- Research and implement best practices for web and social media video content production and distribution
- Conceive and produce short-form film video content
- Design and implement social media publicity strategies, online community-building, and educational materials and outreach strategies around film projects
- Assist in day-to-day logistics and office management

Applicants must be motivated self-starters who will be given significant responsibility and expected to work independently. Some experience in film/media/journalism as well as familiarity with video editing and/or graphic design are helpful but not required. Interns will be encouraged to pitch their own content ideas, and will have access to Resonance’s full suite of production equipment and facilities. The position is unpaid and no academic credit will be offered, however, paid positions on Resonance productions may be offered following completion of the internship.

Interested applicants should submit cover letter and resume, along with credits list and a link for their reel (if any) to Tony Inglis at info@resonancepictures.com.
