Bash On The Farm: Where to hang out at Bash

Where to hang out at Bash
June 12-13!
That's just next weekend!
Now you don't have to wait long for the biggest gathering of bands in Iowa on a Farm!
At Bash we're moving out the farmin' equipment and getting ready to set up 4 stages for the 60+ bands and artists comin' out next weekend. They're all excited to come and meet you all here!
We're excited about our sampler cd this year. Cd technical did a great job! They went like hotcakes, but we're keeping a few back to throw out from the stages here at the festival. Find out more about the cd on the website.
We had a few schedule changes so you may want to check out the latest schedule. Senseless Beauty is now on Saturday night taking Write This Down's place. They unfortunately can't be with us this year.

Here's my blog on what you might want to do at the festival, depending on your personality and music taste.

If you're the gothic and chains, hard rocker, screamo or head banging type - Make sure you're here the whole time the crib stage is scheduled. Then don't miss the late night shed bands as well. I don't know if I'm that type but I'll want to check out some of those bands too. Oh and there is one pop rock band that ended up on that stage - Bright Light Parade.

If you like to bring your lawn chair, sit down and relax after a long week of work and be inspired by some nice layed back relaxing and inspiring music that will fill your heart and soul make sure to set up your lawn chair at the back yard stage. Hang out there all weekend until Saturday night after the Platt's move over to main stage. You'll really enjoy the main stage Saturday night with True Emotion, Callie Weiss, David Bush and Scott Krippayne. You can hear David and Scotts latest duet on American Family Radio and I know those 2 are in the regular play list on the area Kinship radio stations.

If your the classic 80's rocker we've even got some bands for you! Check out some mean guitar licks with Dave Paris and I think you'll like 3rd Watch and Park Lane.

If your the urban rap lover don't miss Kaboose on main stage, Micahael Fugitt and Tru Serva.

If you've got kids that really don't want to stay in one place and listen, get them a wrist band for inflatable games, check out the national guard rock climbing wall, and don't miss the pedal pull on Saturday at 11:00. Come 1/2 hour early to register. We've even got a sand box they can play tractors in.

If you just like the food. Go directly to vendor lane for Mowi wowi fruit drinks, fresh baked cookies, soft serve ice cream and root beer floats, freshly made hand dipped corn dogs and funnel cakes, Pizza ranch pizza by the slice, walking tacos, hot wings, steak and pork chop sandwiches and more! MmmMmm I'm gona be stopping by there.

If you're bored and broke; you've got nothing else to do, and this is free, so come over and check it out.

If you really like staying busy all the time or want to make yourself useful. Fill out the volunteer application and we'll keep you busy, even if you just want to do something for a few hours.

If you're too average to fit in to any of the above categories, well, I guess you'll just have to stick to main stage or maybe try a bit of everything. We think you'll still like it here.

If you like it so much you just don't want to leave make sure you register to camp.

If you like to know where you are going I've attached a map.

There's more about all of this and links to band website so you can listen ahead at www.bashonthefarm.com

See ya next weekend on the Farm!
