On July 8th the TU received an anonymous, amazingly generous, gift of $25,000. This, with all the other generous gifts people have given (more than $17,000!), puts us safely over the emergency baseline goal of raising $25,000 by July 16th.

Now we know we can stay open, and we can dive into the hard work of strategically rebuilding the organization and sustaining the movement for housing justice. Before we got this incredible gift, less than $8,000 remained to reach our original fundraising goal of $25,000. Let's match the mind-blowing generosity of our anonymous donor. We're hoping to raise that remaining 8K and keep on going to secure the future of the Tenants Union.

In the next days the Board and staff will move forward with plans to stay open. We'll need your help. We made it over one big hurdle. Your membership, your support (moral and financial), and your participation are critical to making it over the next few mountains in our way. Here's what's needed:
