PIFP El Salvador Update December 2010
We are extremely pleased to report that construction on our 3rd and final chicken coop in El Salvador has started! Groundbreaking took place on November 12, 2010 in the town of Chalchuapa, Santa Ana. Our beneficiaries are a family of five Lissette Chacón Norma Guerra (31), her husband Ignacio Alberto Tobar Guerra (33), her mother-in-law Luz Tobar (62), eldest son Sergio Alberto Guerra Chacón (10) and younger Steven Christopher Chacón Guerra (2). The opportunity of running this coop will greatly assist the family as they have ongoing medical bills and hospital visits as their youngest son Steven Christopher was sadly born without a rectum and will require a colostomy. An added benefit towards the success of the program is that all of the adult members of the family have experience raising chickens. We hope you enjoy the pictures!
