The Legend of Neil's Notes

View: Full | Compact

Hey Neilaholics,

So it is that time of year again, when the most prestigious Web Series awards come around and it's up to YOU to choose who gets nominated. Wouldn't it be great if a Zelda parody with a bounty of Masturbation jokes won Best Comedy Series? I think so too. So, get nominating and spread the world. Here is our official ballot (please take the time to get to the individual awards especially for Art Design, Cinematography, Visual Effects, Music) because we have the coolest looking/sounding web show on the planet thanks to the hard work of those talented crew members.

Season 2 was a tremendous success thanks to our amazing fans but we need your help to ensure a Season 3. Please take a few minutes and watch (and rewatch) the season 2 finale here, and RATE and COMMENT. Show the network that our viewers are engaged and want more! If you're looking for additional ways to help us, the best thing you can do is introduce the show to all your friends, spread the word, facebook and twitter links to the show. Every little bit helps!

As you all know, The Legend of Neil has been a real passion project for me and it's been so inspiring to see how many of you have enjoyed the show to such a great extent. I try to read every comment and the fact that they're overwhelmingly supportive (mixed with the occasional "you suck hard" comment) inspires me to do more. Here's to hoping we get a Season 3.

Kill Link!

Lot's to talk about and so little time. First off, we'll be having a live chat with me, Sandeep and many from the cast including: Tony Janning (Neil), Felicia Day (Fairy), Angie Hill (Zelda), Eric Acosta (Wizrobe) and Mike Rose (Old Man/Ooold Man). So please tune it at 6pm PST, 9pm EST. We'll be fielding questions via twitter. Add the hashtag #legendofneil to all your questions.

Second, episode 7, is out! Watch it! I'm really proud of this episode, there's a big reveal, there's a crazy ending. I'm just really proud of how this and the entire season came out. Our viewers have grown exponentially since last season, and I can't thank you all enough for all the support, for watching, spreading the word, and just being the best damn fans a guy can ask for <sniffle, tear drop>. And a huge thanks to everyone that helped out on the show, the crew, the cast and folks over at Atom.com

Lastly we've had some amazing coverage across the web. If you'd like a little more insight on what it takes to put the episodes check part 1 of this Atom.com blog. Time.com featured us yet again (I think our websites are officially dating now) and I answered a lot great questions from Lev their nerd blogger. We were on Attack of the Show on G4 too! Woot!

Lastly lastly, follow us on facebook, twitter or rss. Become the envy of all your friends, and grab a T-shirt. You rock, you specifically rock.

The sixth and second to last episode of the season has arrived. It's definitely one of our favorites. A whole heck of a lot of poop hits the fan on this episode when the moblins and neil squares off and Neil's relationships with the Fairy and Old Man get pushed to the limits.

This episode was probably the most difficult to shoot as it rained on us most of the day, so I'm really proud that we were to pull out what I think is one our best efforts story wise. I hope you enjoy it as well, feel free to tell me if you do or don't on facebook and twitter. And as always, support the show and buy a t-shirt!

Since we're still a few days away from the premiere of episode 6 of season 2. I thought you all might like to check out our Legend of Neil panel at Comic-Con 2009 featuring Sandeep, Tony Janning, Mike Rose, Felicia Day & Scott Chernoff and moderated by Chris Albrecht. Thanks to YouTube user grossemeisefor taping and uploading the vids:

Part 3

Damn we look sexy...

So, here's episode 5! Really proud of how this one came out. Finding the actor to play our beloved Giant Moblin was no easy task and so to see Dave Mattey, the actor, that portrays our secret moblin really nail it, is just a joy for us. I hope you too enjoy the episode, as always it's not safe for work and for mature audience only (especially this one, you learn A LOT about the anatomy of a Moblin). We'd love to hear what you think over on our facebook fan page, or twitter. And of course, if you haven't gotten yourself a T-shirt, then you haven't really lived!

We are very proud of the brand new episode of Neil that features much drinking, references to Cheers, and an 80s montage. Yes, we were on crack the entire time while writing the ep. Actually funnily enough (is funnily a word?), this episode was written to be the actual 6th episode of season 1. But due to budgetary reasons for season 1 we couldn't pull it off and had to instead do 3 episodes in the dungeon of level 1. So we've been saving this one up for a while. We've always really loved this episode so I'm so glad that almost 2 years after writing it we're finally able to show it to you. Here's hoping you like it!

If you missed our previous musical episode please chiggity check it here. If you're do not currently own a legend of neil t-shirt then you are not cool. Become cool here.
