Our favorite e-mail this week came from longtime customer Jody Cheesemore, who has kindly given us permission to share it here:

Having ordered a fair amount from you over the past few years, you can imagine how many of your parcel / packing boxes I have had to dispose of. Luckily, I have come up with a novel way of recycling them!
Behold – the HobbyLink notebook!!

Behold – the HobbyLink notebook!!
Using some of the cardboard from your packaging and some old continuous feed printer paper I have, I’ve come up with this little beauty!!
Bound with large cable ties, the HobbyLink notebook has 198 pages, and will probably be used as a travel notebook. Am on somewhat of a writing kick at the moment, so this will be ideal for taking notes while I’m out and about!!

Thanks again, Mr. Cheesemore!
HLJ is closed on Saturday and Sunday, and on Monday for Japan's Kinrou Kansha no Hi (Labor Thanksgiving Day) national holiday. Enjoy the weekend, and we'll see you Tuesday!
Here's a look at one side of our warehouse's Location B, just before start of business this morning. Military, aviation and naval kits, mini cars and tanks, books, magazines, and CDs are usually kept here.
Since Friday, we've had a countdown ticking on the top page of http://www.hlj.com -- and last night was a late one, making sure we've got everything in place for when that counter reaches triple-zeros today!
Here goes the first of the day's three pick-ups of outgoing HLJ packages by Japan Post! There are eight rolling cages of packages in this load; four are on the truck, with the fifth on its way. Japan Post will bring back the emptied cages later in the day and pick up the next shipment.
What was aviation artist extraordinare Shigeo Koike doing in the HLJ front office with his artbook "Flying Colors 3" and a pen in hand? We'll let you know soon--and how you can get a chance to own the result, too--on http://www.hlj.com!
We're closed on Saturday and Sunday. Enjoy the weekend!

Shigeo Koike, known for his box art for Hasegawa aircraft kits, is considered by many to be the finest aviation artist in the world today...and yesterday he visited HLJ! In our warehouse, imported reference books on aircraft were of special interest.
Opened cartons of the most popular items expected to be packed that day are put in a special area of our warehouse's Location A, for easy access by our picking staff. At one end of this row, various extra-hot Saint Seiya Myth Cloth figures will soon be heading into fans' hands.
In our warehouse, one long wall of Location A shines with our photo-etch stock. This particular portion of the wall holds detail sets that we import from maker Aber of Poland.
