I have a fresh new iPhone 3Gs.

Under the English UI, it lumps all Japanese contacts (hiragana, katakana & kanji) under an 'others' (#) category at the end (although they are sorted correctly). There is only the English slider followed by #

With the Japanese UI, it list them at the the front with a slider followed by an alphabet slider.

Is it possible to display the to have an English UI but with the Japanese style sort for contacts?

Hi, I am using an unlocked iphone 3G with 3.0 firmware. I jailbroke it with redsnow and unlocked with ultrasnow. I am using a softbank prepaid sim card with no data package. I am able to send SMS ans MMS to other softbank users but my softbank email is not working. I am neither able to send/recieve email to/from anyother address. I was able to use softbank email ID to send and recieve email from other users (AU,Docomo) while I was using the normal phone provided by them. Can anyone please help to make it working in the new 3.0 OS and without using any 3rd party application(SwirlyMMS), because I heard that 3.0 is compactable for MMS. My friend who is having an apple unlocked iphone + postpaid softbank card with datapack is able to send and recieve emails to any ID. I dont want to use SwirlyMMS as after recieving every email my phone signal gets lost and then after sometime it regains. If I am talking to anyone while recieving the mail the call will get disconnected and will got to Airplane mode...thanks...
