I morgon den 29 november ska vi ut och åka spårvagn och spela musik i Göteborg! Om man är på Drottningtorget kl 17.00, kan man hänga med på vagnen (vet ej vilken) och kanske råka få höra en ny låt?

Vi spenderade gårdagen på SR Göteborg i studio 12 där vi spelade in lite låtar, bl.a 4 nya. Vi hör av oss när vi vet mer om när de kommer att sändas!

The second album is in progress!

A little more than two weeks ago we started an 8 day recording session together with Joakim Sehlstedt who produced our debut album together with us. We recorded the songs in a small church in the countryside outside the small village of Bollebygd.

Tomorrow morning we will record a few of our new songs for Swedish Radio in Gothenburg. We’ll let you know when it’ll be broadcasted.

Vi spelar på sticky fingers nu på lördag den 12e september. Fri entré mellan kl 21 och 22, därefter 80 kr.

Det kommer att bli en del nya låtar. Hoppas att vi ses!

It’s been a while since we updated the blog. First of all we would like to thank all of you who came to see us at “Magasinet” and “Bilda tältet” at Frizon, but also all the people who showed up on our gigs at “de Belofte” and “Subyard” at Flevo festival. We got great reviews from flevo, this one for example (in dutch though ;-/): De Belofte review

There are a few people in particular we would like to thank. First of all we’d like to mention Jedidja from Holland who went to see us at Frizon during her vacation in Sweden. We actually got another painting from her (look at the blog xx nov-08). We would also like to mention XXXXX who saw us for the first time at Flevo festival and went home and made a video to our song “Botanisten” (who also gave us a bunch of photos).

We spend the week after Flevo working on our 2^nd week of pre-productions. And we’re happy to announce that we will start record our second album in October! We have played new songs on all our shows in august and have received great reviews as well as good response from audience so we are pretty eager to spend a lot of time in the studio again.

We will do one final show in Gothenburg on the 12^th of September at Sticky Fingers before we hit the studio.

Earlier this month we took our instruments and went into a small sauna and shot ‘Sometimes I’m afraid’ live for a SPIN earth competition. We finally managed to get it together, so please check it out and cast your vote before the end of this week!!!

This message is about a new law in Gothenburg and will therefore be written in Swedish. But to sum up; the city of Gothenburg forbids all performed music in the streets (with some minor exceptions) in the city centre daytime starting tomorrow. This means that if you are busking today, it will be a crime tomorrow; scary and extremely tragic.

Göteborgs stad har bestämt att musik som framförs live på innerstans gator och torg mellan 11-15(vissa områden 17) är kriminell från och med imorgon, vilket kort och gott innebär att de små söta barnen som spelar fiol och gitarr inne i Nordstan för att dryga ut sin månadspeng så här i sommartid dessvärre gör något lagvidrigt och kan beläggas med en straffavgift. Detsamma gäller naturligtvis de som tjänar merparten av sin månadslön genom att vara gatumusiker. Lagen är utformad på ett sätt som gör att polisen i fortsättningen ”bör vara restriktiv” (TU diarienummer 0370/08) med utgivning av tillstånd till musik som kräver PA dagtid 11-15. Tydligen så ska enligt SDN centrum också boende på Avenyn störas… Av gatumusikanter? Tur att de boende inte störs av gnisslande spårvagnar, accelererande bussar och polisens sirener i alla fall– dvs de vanligaste störningsmomenten i stadens ljudbild om ni frågar mig.

Bakgrunden till lagen är klagomål från företagarföreningen Avenyn.
