Walt Disney World Resort features over 22 hotels all within Walt Disney World. We know when planning a Disney World vacation, one of the toughest decisions is what Disney Resort to book. There are three main options to consider when selecting a Disney Resort. These options are location, price and theme.

For location, the Walt Disney World Resorts are all considered Disney World Hotels and are all located inside the Walt Disney World Resort. From that point, the hotels are divided into different areas based on their location inside Disney. These areas include Downtown Disney Resort Area, Wide World of Sports Resort Area, Disney's Animal Kingdom Resort Area, Magic Kingdom Resort Area, and Epcot Resort Area. All of these areas are located inside Walt Disney World and provide the continuous transportation to the Disney Theme Parks, Water Parks, Downtown Disney and other Disney Resorts.

The location of the Disney Resort Hotels can be quite important based on your family. For an example, if you are visiting Disney World with infants you may want to consider staying at a Magic Kingdom Resort Hotel. These hotels are closer to Magic Kingdom and have the quick monorail to get back and forth from Magic Kingdom and Epcot.

The next option is price. With the economy, we know price is usually an important option when considering where to stay at Walt Disney World. The Disney Resort Hotels are also broken down into price categories called Value, Moderate, Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts. We know price is always important, but it should not be the most important part of planning a Disney World vacation. Ask our agents for guidance. Finally, the last option is based on theme. Each of the Disney Resort Hotels are unlike any other hotel you will ever visit. Each Disney Resort Hotel has their own theme and Disney experience. To give you an example, Disney's All Star Sports Resort is one of the most popular resorts for teenagers. This resort is a Disney Value Resort, so very reasonable in price. The resort itself is themed after sports. There are different sections of the resort themed after different sports. For example, the surfing area tends to be quite popular with the surf boards as big as the 3-story building. The football area (shown above) has a football field right in the middle of the courtyard. If you have teenagers or sporting fans, this may be the ultimate hotel for your Disney World vacation.

For another example, if you are a couple celebrating your honeymoon and always wanted to go to Hawaii; you may want to stay at Disney's Polynesian Resort. This Disney Deluxe Resort is themed after the Polynesian Islands with romantic tiki torches around the resort along with waterfalls and even a volcano themed pool. Each Disney Resort has a special theme just like these two examples. The theme of a Disney World Resort Hotel can be just as special as visiting the Disney Theme Parks.

Visiting the Walt Disney World Parks is a regular activity for my family. As I always say, "it is just part of my job" as an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner. Discover all of the Christmas magic of old Hollywood at Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World. Disney's Hollywood Studios is decorated for the Christmas Season in the typical Hollywood style. Each section of the park is decorated with greenery, lights, and festive ornaments. The highlight for the Holidays at this Theme Park is the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights. This is the most amazing light display you will ever see!

This attraction is named after the Osborne Family that created this original light display in their home town of Little Rock, Arkansas. They kept adding lights and decorations to their home until they reached over 3 millions lights. Their display got so large that the government told them they had to shut down the light display. Disney stepped in and offered to display their lights at Disney's Hollywood Studios. This light display is now available for all guests to see and enjoy.

Originally the lights did not flash, but they recently improved the light display to actually dance to music. This is the most incredible light display live to music. This is a walking display that covers several blocks at the Streets of America, near Muppet Vision 3-D and Lights, Motors, Action! This area does get very very crowded, so be prepared for the crowds. The lights turn on around dusk and stay on until about 1 hour after Disney's Hollywood Studios close. My favorite part is walking down the street with snowflakes falling on my face with the lights dancing all around me.

Many guests wonder about taking little kids (under 3) to Disney World. Our agents always tell guests that Disney World is perfect for kids of all ages. This light display is a perfect example of why Disney is great, even for kids under 3. Our agency went to the opening of the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights with pur families including kids that were 1-3 years old. The kids were mezmerized by the lights. They did not want to leave. They wanted to walk around the lights over and over, again. We are all regulars to the Disney Theme Parks, but these kids were more excited about these light than any other attraction or ride at Disney World during the Christmas Season. These lights are a must see for everyone. This light display runs from November 28-January 4.

Magic Kingdom is one of the most popular parks for theholidayswith sparkling decorations including colorful ornaments, greenery, and even snow. Yes, is does snow in Florida (only at Magic Kingdom). You can enjoy all of the beautiful decorations, but to really get into the Christmas Spirit, you have to attend the special event called Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.
