The first-ever London International Music Show kicks off this weekend, and promises to be a great day out for musicians from all walks of musical life. Taking place at Excel in London from June 12-15th 2008, this huge show is actually four shows in one: the packed main hall, as well as the mighty Drummer Live, London Guitar Show and the new Sound Recording and Technology (SRT) show.
LIMS will feature bundles of gear, loads of merchandise and a liberal sprinkling of celebrities plus seminars, clinics, demos, and Q&A sessions aimed at helping you get the most out of your music.
Roland and Boss will be at LIMS in fine style, and our presence at the show is spread over four areas.
Roland and Boss Stand (Stand F90)
With appearances from some of the industry's finest product demonstrators and clinicians, opportunities to try the most exciting gear around and the chance to win some great prizes, make sure you drop by and get stuck in.
Global Product Launch
We're launching an array of brand-new instruments at the show including several new drum and synth products; this gear is exclusive to LIMS and means that you'll get first look at some seriously cool new products. You can also catch up with the gear launched earlier this year at NAMM and Frankfurt, including the award-winning V-Drums TD-9KX, Fantom-G workstations and the flagship Boss GT-10 MFX.
Education Day - Friday June 13th (Stand M18)
We'll be running a special HandSonic drum circle on education day, where you'll be able to take part in an ensemble performance on one of eight Handsonic hand percussion units.
Drummer Live (Stand N9)
Over in the Drummer Live hall, we'll be showcasing the new V-Drums TD-9KX for the duration of the show (12th - 15th) along with some other surprises. You'll also be able to book yourself in for a quick drum lesson in our V-Drums workshops - the sessions fill up fast, so get there early and put your name on the list.
Mike Dolbear.com Seminar Room / Vision Stage
Geoff Dugmore will be hosting an exclusive V-Drums session in the Mike Dolbear masterclass room on the Saturday and Sunday at Drummer Live. Geoff will explain how he uses V-Drums in his session work as well as showing why he's one of the most in-demand drummers around. Demand for these sessions is high, so get there early. Geoff will appear from 11am-12pm on the Saturday and 12pm-1pm on the Sunday.
