Tuesday 25 March saw yet another successful indiestore live night at Dublin Castle, Camden. Three fantastic bands played, and they all played fantastically.
Opening the night with a nice bit of frantic electro punk were cheeky young men The Author. They’d flown all the way from their native Jersey especially for the indiestore gig, and judging by the audience reaction, a lot of people were glad to have them here. The band were celebrating the release of their single Dannie, and no wonder because it’s already been highly praised.
Just as popular were next band to the stage, Narration. With their much-loved romantic and often epic alt-rock, the band have had a lot of success lately, winning Xfm’s battle of the unsigned bands at the end of last year. 2008 is sure to be their year. Watch this space.
Last to play were band from Brighton, Heels Catch Fire. As one review says, “they rock like At The Drive In”, and that they certainly do. Their music was loud, fast and skillfully played, ending the night in style.

If you were there, thanks for coming. And if you weren’t, you missed out! But don’t panic, indiestore host live nights on the last Tuesday of every month. Keep your eye out for the line-up of the next gig at Dublin Castle, Camden on 29 April.
