PILGRIM was established by Annemette Markvad and Thomas Adamsen in 1983. It was just the two of them that first year, where they travelled around to festivals in Denmark and sold the jewelery they’d bought on travels to the East. They made some of the items themselves in their small apartment in Skanderborg and they were always quick to turn a good idea into reality. They swiftly began exhibiting their wares at trade fairs in Denmark and later on family and friends became involved in the business.
PILGRIM is a Danish brand producing fashion jewelery and accessories for men and women. In addition to jewelery, PILGRIM offers a range of eyewear - including sunglasses, reading sunglasses and prescription eyewear – and a range of watches. All our products are designed in Denmark.
PILGRIM products reflect broad fashion trends – with a difference. PILGRIM’s designs always stand out from the crowd. Often the difference comes from daring the unexpected – like using materials and colors in new and original combinations. For example, several models in our sunglasses range have complementary jewelery items that can be worn on their frames.
Facts about our Jewelery
PILGRIM jewelery is mainly made from brass or zinc. The pieces are first plated with copper and then with 16–22 carat gold or 925 sterling silver. The stones used include CRYSTALLIZED™ Swarovski Elements, precious stones and glass stones. We also use natural pearls and freshwater pearls. All our jewelery is 100% nickel-free and each piece is handmade.
Quality and materials
PILGRIM uses the finest materials in our jewelery – from strong elastic to tough surface treatments. And PILGRIM jewelery is plated with pure gold or sterling silver. PILGRIM complies with ALL statutory limits on lead, nickel, cadmium and mercury, which means that our jewelery is, e.g., nickel-free.

1. "Neck-wrapping", yes that is a new buzz word. It came about because of the huge success of scarves as a fashion statement. We could not keep our Rapti scarves in stock and still can't with all the beautiful spring colors.
2. Tie-dyed captured spring/summer's hippie trend.
3. Beach fashion grew with the bold colorful preppy/St. Tropez tones to more tribal/ethnic prints.
4. Short, three-quarter sleeve jackets and sweaters are hot, hot, hot!
5. Wraps, ponchos, and sweater wrappings were a hit this fall.
6. This spring we are seeing bright primary colors flourish with handbags and accessories. For fall the classics prevailed such as black, chocolate brown, and burgundy. We have an incredible selection of Vera Bradley and Hobo to match these trends.
7. Dominant bag styles include full flap shoulder bags, mailbag messengers, doctor satchels, duffles, as well as elongated clutches.
8. This was the year of the costume jewelry. Long necklaces, stackable bracelets, and artsy pieces are all the rage.
9. Dresses, dresses, and more dresses!
10. Rainwear has become more than just necessary but a fashion statement as well with many different designers creating collections with coordinating umbrellas and hats. We carry Dav, one of the first of these lines. Not only are they adorable but functional and comfortable.

The James Store announces its Fall 2009 Geiger Trunk Show on Saturday, March 7th, 2009 from 11:00AM to 3:00PM at our store in Granville, Ohio (map & directions). Please call the store for details at 740-587-3061 or drop us an email.
For those that have never attended a Geiger Trunk Show, it is a great opportunity to view and purchase Geiger apparel at a reduced cost.
Rapti Fashion: Check these out while you can. We have ordered and reordered these since early fall and still can’t keep them in stock. An absolutely beautiful scarf with an amazing pricetag (range from $20 to $35). Rapti scarves are fair trade, handmade in Nepal. They are 40% cashmere, 30% silk, and 30% viscose. The weight is perfect to wrap several times around and tuck into your winter coat or to loosen them up a bit and pair with your favorite shirt. I find myself wearing mine all day both inside and outside. I have even been known to wear my Rapti scarf with my old college sweatshirt while making dinner– they are that comfortable.
