Dear Local Business Partner,
Project Lifesaver International is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation founded in April of 1999 through Chesapeake County Sheriff’s Office. The organization was formed to develop a comprehensive program to enhance success at locating missing persons with Dementia, Alzheimer’s, Autism, Down Syndrome who are at risk of wandering. Currently there are approximatly over 1200 children in Hamilton County with Autism. According to Hamilton County Autism Support Group, “Recent studies estimate that as many as 1 in every 91 children born today will be on the Autism spectrum. Indiana is the 5th highest state in America with Autism, with 1 out of every 116 children enrolled in school being on the spectrum.”
Hamilton County is in the process of forming Project Lifesaver of Hamilton County through the International program. Project Lifesaver uses advanced technology and specially trained search and rescue teams to locate missing children and adults who suffer from Dementia, Alzheimer’s, Autism, and Down Syndrome. Project Lifesaver clients wear a special wristband which emits a signal that can be traced with state-of-the-art tracking equipment. Average search time of clients wearing a Project Lifesaver wristband is less than 30 minutes. In over 1950 searches nationwide, there have been no reported serious injuries or deaths. Project Lifesaver also has a 100% success rate nationwide.
Due to the financial hardship already placed on clients and their families who could benefit from Project Lifesaver of Hamilton County, our goal is to provide this service free of charge to everyone in the program. Being a non-profit organization, we rely on donations and grants to provide training, purchase equipment, and most importantly keep the program free for the clients. Here’s an example of how your donation can help Project Lifesaver of Hamilton County:
$100 or less General donation to help with training and general operation
$300 Wrist transmitter for one client
$400 Wrist transmitter and one year supply of batteries for one client
$2,500 One receiver unit
$4,000 Wrist transmitter and one year supply of batteries for TEN clients
Project Lifesaver of Hamilton County appreciates any and all donations. To show our appreciation for donations over $500 we will gladly add your business name to our website and brochure. Every donation will be recognized with a letter of appreciation and a receipt for tax purposes. If you would rather donate items to be raffled off at one of our fundraising events we will gladly accept those donations as well. Project Lifesaver of Hamilton County would like to “Thank You” for partnering with us to provide this service free of charge.
