Vietnam plans to eradicate bribery in three stages between 2009 – 2020. Five basic solutions include (1) increasing the transparency of policy making and law enforcement process; (2) finalizing economic management mechanisms; (3) building a transparent business environment; (4) raising the effectiveness and efficiency of inspection, supervision, auditing, investigation, prosecution; and (5) punishment and increasing the public awareness in fighting corruption.
