Arts Queensland: Vinyl Art Floors Shoppers
Vinyl Art Floors Shoppers
The world's largest copy of Leonardo da Vinci's 'Mona Lisa' was unveiled at a Welsh shopping centre last month. Artist Katy Webster decided to recreate the iconic portrait with the assistance of local school children who helped lay the 240 square metres of vinyl which make up the image. The giant artwork (created from 82 digitally enhanced vinyl squares) was on show for one day only and helped raise funds for a charity that provides assistance for terminally ill children.
