Phoenix College NAACP/BSU and Mesa Community College NAACP are hosting another open mic on the Phoenix College campus (Bulpitt Auditorium) as a final fundraiser to reach their summer goals.

The organizations along with the South Mountain High School Poetry Team are trying to raise funds to participate in summer projects. During July, the college chapter NAACPs are heading to the National NAACP Centennial Conference in New York, while the SMHS poetry group known as VOICE will travel to Russell Simmons' Brave New Voices in Chicago.

We invite you to come out and support these youth. Money is tight (you can blame it on the re-re-re-re-re-recession), but let's show that our commitment to the youth is tighter.
