First Woman of African Descent Preaches at the American Church in Paris

Enuma Okoro became the first woman of African descent to preach at the American Church in Paris yesterday.  Okoro is the visiting theologian at the church and a writer-in-residence in Paris until the end of June.  She led the annual, all-day Women's retreat on June 2nd and will speak at the weekly Thurber Thursday event on June 7th.

 

Thurber Thursdays consist of dinner at 6:30 PM followed by the program for the evening at 7:30 PM.  Okoro's topic will be Spiritual Disciplines: A brief Introduction to the ancient Christian traditions that are still applicable in our lives today.  Examples include prayer, fasting, and study.  The program is open to all comers.
