      Soviet scientists at the Awsomkovsky Institute of Vokaliz discovered that reading the lyrics along with listening to "Я очень рад, ведь я, наконец, возвращаюсь домой" caused significant changes in the human brain.

      Experimentation subjects... exhibited extraordinary neural growth and connections and subjects with previous histories of depression showed marked improvement in all measured mood parameters, including seven subjects with mild depression which were cured altogether and thirty-eight subjects with severe depression that were upgraded to 'having the mild blahs.'

      Allow me to interject the following into the shitstorm of irony surrounding everyone's sudden "discovery" of Eduard Hill:
      -He had an extremely good voice;
      -Like all Russian musicians of his time, the system selected him for natural talent, ...trained him to a very high degree, and he made the best of it.
      -That his videos are lip synched is nothing more than an artifact of his times: everyone lip synched because live recording sounded bad.
      -The weirdness and emotive exaggeration of his songs is only relative, coming straight out of Russian folk and Euro pop traditions: there's nothing "too cool for school" about either. They just lay it straight out there.
      -He's no weirder than Heino.
