Special festivities planned for the event.

The All-American Dairy Show’s golden jubilee will be held on September 7 to 12, 2013, at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center in Harrisburg.

Nearly 2,400 head will be exhibited in 23 different dairy shows, representing seven breeds and featuring both open and youth divisions. The All-American Dairy Show also hosts the Premier National Junior Events which celebrate its 10th anniversary this year. The four-day focus on youth will be held September 7 to 10. The event also features the nation’s only all-dairy antiques show.

Six herds have exhibited at all 50. Hoard’s Dairyman will be featuring them throughout the spring. With a show theme of  “A Celebration of Generations of Excellence,” this long-standing tradition has an even deeper significance to these cattle exhibitors.

In addition to the regular show’s events, this year’s program will include hosting the National Dairy Shrine (NDS) banquet on Wednesday, September 11. Dale Olver, Penn State, serves as the NDS president and the organization looks forward to honoring dairy leaders, pioneers and students at its annual recognition banquet.

The Eastern Elite Sale, known for its top-quality Holsteins, will also include colored breed consignments. The sale is slated for Tuesday, September 10.
