Blog - Sunday, July 6, 2008
Well..How is your summer going?..I'm typing my blog from Calgary. I'm out here to perform at the Dreams Take Flight gala. The weather is amazing..this dry heat thing is working for me..now dry heat doesn't always work.

I just got back from Las Vegas, and when it's 40 it doesn't really matter if it's a dry heat..it's just hot..and yes knowing me I golfed in the middle of the afternoon.

While I was out west I wrote a new song with Duane for his next cd. I saw Jason Blaine play at Nashville North (Stampede grounds). He was great..I'm really proud of him. He's still got enough of "Pembroke" in him to keep him grounded, but he's grown into the real deal.

If you've never been to the Calgary Stampede, I recommend it. It's a lot of fun..And if you haven't experienced a live rodeo and chuck wagon races, you're missing a check mark on your bucket list.

My kids are enjoying the lack of school..Katy's working and Josh is sleeping.

I'm excited to go to Guyana. I hope to update the site from South America. I'm taking a video camera with me..I'll post it when I get back..Terry O'dette and I discussed using some of the footage in the new video we're shooting for "One Real Kiss"..

Hey, I hope you liked the video we shot for "Right Here Right Now". We've had a great response to that song at radio.

I also want to thank Amanda Power and Gibson guitars for giving me a guitar to take and leave in Guyana.

Get out and feel the heat..take care..Jamie
