The Juliana Theory to Re-Unite for 6 Shows in August 2010. Here are the dates & Pre-Sale Info!

Having been completely disbanded for over 4 years, Pittsburgh PA’s emo-pop trendsetters The Juliana Theory recently made waves with the surprise Announcement that they’d be re-uniting for two final shows. “We never played a farewell show. We posted a goodbye blog and that was it. I think it was pretty unfair to our loyal fans and to us too. Now the five of us get to do what we always should have done and say goodbye properly,” said lead singer Brett Detar (who recently announced he’s working on his first solo record). August 2010 marks the ten-year anniversary of the release of the band’s defining and influential sophomore album “Emotion is Dead.” The Juliana Theory will reunite for 6 shows centered around that anniversary. For each of these limited shows the band will play the album from start to finish followed by a second set of fan favorites taken from all of their other releases. Having not made music together since disbanding shortly after a European tour in January of 2006, this will be their first time to share a stage again as well as the first time playing “Emotion is Dead” in its entirety. “We only planned to do two of these shows,” remarked Detar, “but there was so much excitement from fans and promoters that we had to add a few more dates. We’re thrilled to make each one of these evenings something very memorable and can’t wait to hang out with everyone.”

The dates for the reunion shows are as follows:

Friday August 20 – New York, NY – Highline Ballroom
Saturday August 21 – Pittsburgh, PA – Mr Small’s Theater
Sunday August 22 – Philadelphia, PA – The Trocadero
Friday August 27 – Pomona, CA – The Glasshouse
Saturday August 28 – Los Angeles, CA – The El Rey Theater
Sunday August 29 – San Francisco, CA – The Independent

We'll call you i remember being 14 or 15 and seeing you at purple door. It's one of those vivid memories of a perfect summer day with great tunes.
