Koffee Kompanions: View from Hampton Inn® hotel in Manhattan-SoHo, NY
Because NYC is an energetic city, I enjoyed something new every time I looked out our hotel window on the seventeenth floor of the Hampton Inn in Manhattan-SoHo. Activities didn’t slow as the sun set.
Construction crews workedandmachines buzzed continuously on the roof of the building across the street.
Late one night I saw a new activity at the car wash. I watched these ten police cars slowly pull out onto the street one after the other. They continued up the street with red lights flashing and sirens turning off and on. The next day I asked a policeman patrolling the streets what this event meant. He told me it’s called “Show of Force”. The cars drive through the boroughs so people know their police are working for them. The helpful police worked for me every time I asked for directions or a question about their city!
