New Genealogy Videos: BBC's Time Watch and Andrew Carroll's War Letters

Happy New Roots Tuesday!

This week at RootsTelevision.com we are highlighting a number of videos that touch on military themes. Veterans Day is tomorrow and we recognize and appreciate the incredible impact that veterans and current military personnel have on our lives and our nation.

The first video we are sharing this week is War Letters - An Interview with Andrew Carroll. Andrew has a truly fascinating story to share of how his War Letters project began and some of the letter excerpts he shares are quite emotional. Andrew's project definitely pays tribute to the service by so many men and women during times of war. There are love letters too!

Next up is a portion of BBC's TimeWatch program, featuring the detective work of Megan Smolenyak. The case being researched is quite intriguing, and involves initial DNA work and then finding descendants of members who had been lost at sea, from a military ship.

It's can also be called the case featuring the Amelia's, thanks to several generations with a daughter named Amelia!

Sticking with the military theme, we have a great set of videos on Military Records at RootsTelevision.com, which can be really helpful if you are pulling together your family history records. And if you have Irish roots, you may want to take a quick look at the video where Dick Eastman interviews Feargal O'Donnell and gets some great information about where to find records from Ireland.

Happy Watching!
