ACTION ALERT: FIGHT TO PROTECT OUR SHELTER LAWS BY CONTACTING THE ASSEMBLY AND SENATE BUDGET COMMITTEES

Today, on February 1, 2012, the Brown administration released its 2012-2013 Budget trailer bill, and thereby set in motion the first legislative step by which California's life-saving shelter laws will be REPEALED -- putting hundreds of thousands of shelter animals impounded each year at risk.


YOUR HELP IS NEEDED! The fight to preserve our shelter laws now goes to the California Senate and Assembly Budget Committees. Please send letters expressing your OPPOSITION to the repeal of the Hayden Law to (1) your local senate representative (enter your zip code to retrieve the name and address), (2) your local assembly person (enter your zip code to retrieve the name and address), (3) the Senate Standing Committee on Budget and Fiscal Review, and (4) the Assembly Committee on Budget. To aid you in doing this, please note the following information:
