Presented by Chef One, the first ever NYC Dumpling Festival will be taking place this Saturday in Manhattan. The event will feature book signings by several cookbook chefs, as well as dumpling-making classes, family games, and a dumpling eating contest. Guests will also be able to sample and learn about dumplings from around the world including: bao (China), gnocchi (Italy), idli (India), kuih koci (Malaysia), palitaw (Philippines), pierogi (Poland), and tamales (Mexico).
All proceeds from the NYC Dumpling Festival will benefit the Food Bank For New York City. Please visit www.dumplingfestival.com for more information.
