Yes, yes! The live music will start back up spring break 2010, but in the meantime we'll still have 99¢ kids meals and the balloon lady every Tuesday! We'll also set up the moonwalk whenever weather permits.

I thought Kids night was over!!! I was told that the bands, the moodwalk, and the balloon lady are not coming back. What is the truth to all this?

Regarding Tuesdays ... this is the last week for live music on kids night; the moonwalk will be set up when weather permits; the balloon lady and 99¢ kids meals are year 'round. The week of spring break 2010 (DSISD) we will bring back kids night live music (weather permitting).

Surely do wish you'd get Gary Knippa and Friends out for a Tuesday night when you're ready to start with live music again. They're a family music group, rather than just children, but sing a lot of wonderful old songs that I learned when I was a child! People of all ages love this group. They're playing a Thursday Noonday Concert at Central Presbyterian Church Nov. 19 if you want to check him out.:)

You know, I thought about it... I do have my facts straight. Why would Mike make this up? He has been through the ringer and I am tired of it. I believe MIke. I know first hand that people are complaining about live music at the Nutty Brown Cafe. Think about it, this in the only venue LEFT... where we can enjoy live music outdoors under the ... See Morebeautiful Texas sky. It is the last of its kind in Austin. Salt LIck does not have live music... Backyard sold out to a shopping mall that nobody goes to....I for one... and I know MANY OTHERS.. who do not want to see this venue shut down. I treasure its worth. It is not only good for this community and supporting Austin live music, it has proven to be helpful and compassionate source for many organizations and individuals in this part of west Texas. I am proud to have the Nutty Brown Cafe in my immediate 'neck of the woods' Cmon you guys... see this for what it really is!!! Don't let this venue get beat down. I am sorry for those folks who have lived here forever and might be feeling the impact of a larger following.. but c'mon... get with it.... its progress for a positive cause... it is NOT a bad thing unless you insist on calling it such. God Bless all of us... lets all get along.....
