Helen Gray That you have Alec Baldwin as the announcer for the public radio feeds is the single best thing you could have done to capture listeners. I paid attention to the promo spots in the days leading up to the concert, and happened to have the radio on when it aired. His is the exact right voice for the symphonic pitch man! Here's hoping he loves the music as much as the rest of us do.

I love the New York Philharmonic. But when will management make Avery Fisher Hall user friendly and accommodating, a venue that is actually nice to be in? The services are abysmal, unless you happen to be a major benefactor. Try getting a coffee during intermission if you're on level 3. It's a shame that New Yorkers ro...utinely endure shabby treatment at the hands of Philharmonic management.
