See the postings below......they have links to write your congressmen and representatives. There is a bill that is just sitting there right now that would help people who lose benifits in January and beyond. The bill is H.R. 3404

Debra Davidson Please take action to extend UI benafits. It is incurably hard to find job. Especial for those of us that are disabled like myself. Being disabled makes it so much harder to find a job. The UI benefits are incredibly critical to help me live day to day while looking for another job.

Dennis DOL, those that received work search forms that were exptecting to start on Extended benfits in Nov, however, the latest legislation makes them go to tier III of EUC, should they still send in work search forms. The DOL website is not clear on this, they only mention for EB.

The extra 6 requires NYS to have an unmeployment average of 8.5% over 3 months prior to when you enter that Tier AND for the senate to extend the program, so they can actually BE claimed!
