Scott Tillitt

Scott Tillitt Intelligent Optimists might appreciate this book/website about... nothing. Actually, it's a collection of thoughts and quotations on the concept of Nothing, a topic explored throughout human history from several different angles: philosophically, religiously, artistically, scientifically — both Eastern sages and Western thinkers ( www.nothingbook.com ). Why?

www.nothingbook.com
From Sharon’s post on Joan Konner and Nothing:“I first met Joan when she was working on the Mystery of Love, a PBS documentary. From love to nothingness, in a few short years. That makes sense to me. ...

Oops, didn't finish the post... Why? As Sharon Salzberg says in a blog post about the book: "In Buddhism we would say that when we perceive the transparency, the insubstantiality of life, we grow in wisdom."

Ode Magazine

Ode Magazine Have you heard? There is a new muppet on the street. Meet Kami, a healthy HIV positive, affectionate 5 year old orphan who was recently introduced to South Africa's Sesame Street show to raise awareness and help the many children who are dealing with the HIV/AIDS crisis.

globalvoicesonline.org
As the children's show Sesame Street celebrates its 40th anniversary this month, premiering its new season today, one Muppet named Kami, on its South African edition, continues to help combat and raise awareness about HIV/AIDS.

Yeah cause it is so common, unfortunately, poor babies ): Great though that it's talked about and not a shameful thing children have to feel, over there. I saw a story recently about this topic and I was thinking, imagine being a child born with HIV/AIDS, it's insane. And they're poor and orphans just to add to it. But thank goodness for the great ... See Morepeople, organizations and missionaries who help those children. Go Sesame Street. Grew up watching Sesame Street. Love Fragel Rock (apologies if mispelled).

Naomi Bloch This magazine must live on, prosper and MULTIPLY!!!

I have been a reader of ODE since HOPE magazine went under for lack of funds, I suppose. I was SO SAD when that happened!!

But then... one day ODE arrived in my mailbox! :-) Ode was being sent to the subscribers of HOPE magazine, you see. I was SO HAPPY! I happe...d to have been a charter subscriber to HOPE. So, to say that I believe in this mission of POSITIVE news, would be an understatement!

I share Ode with EVERYONE!!! :-) So, please go forth and spread the news about this critical, life-affirming magazine and community... as I know all of you already do. And... I look forward to getting to know my fellow ODE fans!
