Ode: You should create an account on identi, as well. It's just like Twitter but with more options and it's built using Open Source software and Open Microblogging standards. I'm not sure about Twitter, but you can set identi to place your posts from identi on Twitter at the same time. It's pretty nice.

Sean ... that is a common argument for space exploration. But kinda weird, don't you think? I mean, why not just spend the money directly on those things we want?! Why do we have to take the long route and be so inefficient about it? Let's just spend the money directly here!

I believe that we learn more about what we need by experiencing it ourselves, ... Read Morenot from someone arbitrarily deciding what is best for us. Kids really do want what is best for them. They do not want to feel sick from eating too many cookies. If they are taught to avoid listening to their own bodies and go by what someone else tells them, they will be more likely to eat too many, and not notice because they become disconnected from themselves. Their stories then begin about how they are bad because they eat too much. Questioning why we do things reveals interesting information, imo.
