Stephen Court Hi im a huge dune fan read neraly all the books. Still have the 3 family books to read and brought winds of dune and paul of dune last week so just started on them. Is there much need to read the family books before the others??

Chris Fellows HAs anyone here ever seen or know of a Dune Role-playing game? I think it was done by Last Unicorn Games?
Hunchback Jack I'm rereading Dune for the first time in a long while. Taking my time, too, and I'm picking up a lot of details I hadn't remembered. Even in the first part of the book, Leto's preparations for the Harkonnen attack, for the long-term relationship with the Fremen, and for Paul's inheritance of the stewardship of Arrakis, are quite complex and nuanced. Great writing, too.
This has been a tough hiking season for me—mainly because I’ve done so much traveling and book-touring during the best summer months in the mountains. Also, the weather turned cold and nasty very shortly after I finished the Winds of Dune tour and DragonCon the first weekend in September.H...
