Official U.S. Soccer The 2009 Best of U.S. Soccer Awards kick off today with a nomination period for four of the 12 awards that will be handed out in December. The four nomination categories include Best Soccer Bar, Best Soccer Blog, Best Soccer Specialty Store and Best Fan Photo, where fans are asked to post personal photos that have the chance to be chosen as a nominee.

He's a alternate choice coach with old school US soccer mentality when what we want is a more aggressive, creative but controlled style of soccer. GO USA!!! Bradley will be gone after the WC.

Unfortunately, Bunker Bob has been just successful enough to keep the job, but hasn't really done all that well considering just which players were available for his use.
So long as we rely on always playing so direct a style, we put ourselves in real peril when it isn't working. Come December 4th, we'll find out just which three other teams will ... Read Morebe in our group and start to figue out just what will have to be done to finish in at least second place so we can progress to the knock out round next summer in South Africa.
With Charlie Davies certainly out of the squad and both Gooch and DeMerit unlikely to be fully game ready by next spring, we really are in untested waters and could use a strong coaching presence... I'm far from convinced that that man is Bob Bradley, but it looks very likely that that is exactly what we will have, so it's gonna be a very long half a year comming up for us all.
