Harry Ovis Powell Marriage, according to tradition, is a bond, a contract, a union, between a man and his woman under the eyes of our God. I don't see why people can't understand this. Every culture has this. There comes a time when a man must acquire a woman to serve him as she is now his apparatus for procreation. She cooks, she clean...s, she bares children. If a man were to marry a man, they'd live in filth. If a woman were to marry a woman, who would work? Outrageous!

Mike I was raised christian, and i would not consider myself a "religious" person by any means, but more of a spiritual one. i am also not gay, so therefore, i am not directly affected by this, in any way that i can see. i joined this group briefly to ask a question to members: if you aren't gay, why be so opposed to it? ... It isn't illegal to commit adultery and i'm pretty sure that's a sin, right? Why legislate others morality when you aren't personally affected? not to mention the fact that there is separation of church and state, i thought. I guess i just do not get it. Maybe i'm just apathetic, but maybe someone can clue me in to what i am missing...

I have seen that some people use the agrument of using Old Testament verses which don't apply anymore. To counter those agruments, I have this to say;
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 - "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Ryan great, i just read on foxnews that that a mexico City lawmaker is proposing gay marriage in mexico city, i can't believe good moral values are falling everywhere!
Loretta God loves all people and has made it clear in His Word that he accepts everyone, but not sin. I am glad when He sees me, He sees the righteousness of Christ because of Calvary. If it were left up to my goodness, I'd spend an eternity apart from Him. Thank you, Jesus!
