Open Doors USA World Watch Wednesday #1: NORTH KOREA. "Christians are the target of fierce government action, and once caught, are not regarded as human. Last year we had evidence that some [of those captured] were used as guinea pigs to test chemical and biological weapons." -Expert on North Korea

Many Christians who face persecution do not have their own bible. Some consider themselves fortunate if they have a few pages or a book of the bible. If you were in these believers shoes, which book of the bible would you choose to have and why? How would it help when you were witnessing to others...

The gospel of St. John. Jesus words are so meaningful for both young believers and older saints in the Lord. It brings you into the heart of Jesus. Definately St. John's gospel.

Prepare for and expect persecution with your eyes fixed on the Lover of your Soul. Lovesick Lovers are prepared for anything and will stand. We are prepared by Holy Spirit in the presence of the Master. It is a process and takes time. Do we have the time or are we too busy entertaining ourselves to be about obeying the One we say we belong to?

I thought most Eritreans were Christians.
Praise God that our brother is no longer suffing in his body, but is with our loving Lord.
Praise God also for those who were released from the prison.
Efrem's faith really made an impact on his jailers, I think.

Open Doors USA With all the recent events around the world (earthquakes in Haiti & Chile, massacre in Nigeria, World Vision aid workers killed in Pakistan, and many more), we can easily become discouraged, weary and lose focus. Hope you will enjoy this song and be encouraged. "He wraps himself in Light, and darkness tries to hide and... trembles at His voice...How great is our God!"

MY HUSBAND IS FROM IRAQ A COUNTRY RULED BY ISLAM WITH MANY CHRISTIANS PERSECUTED FOR THEIR FAITH. WE KNOW HOW HARD IT IS FOR THEM THERE. THE OTHER COUTRIES MENTIONED ABOVE ARE NO DIFFERENT. PRAY THAT HEARTS WILL BE SOFTENED SO THEY WILL BE RECEPTIVE TO THE GOSPEL. THIS IS THE ONLY HOPE OF THE COUNTRIES RULED BY OPPRESSIVE FORCES. PRAY FOR THE CHRISTIANS IN THESE COUNTRIES THAT THEY DO NOT BECOME DISCOURAGED.
