Orange Film Club Out today and receiving some great early feedback. Harry Brown is a crime thriller starring Michael Caine as an elderly widower and ex-marine who turns vigilante when gangs take over his neighbourhood and murder his best friend.

Orange Film Club Yes. It’s still Tuesday. But it’s ok, because we’ve got a great movie quote challenge for you to while away the hours ‘til Orange Wednesday. First off, name the films that each of these quotes come from: 1. “He’s so mean he wouldn’t light your pipe if your house was on fire.” 2. “You should give up smoking, cigarettes are very bad for your chest.” 3. “Hot noodles made of poodles on a slice of garden hose.”

It's too close to call, welcome all of you to our Hall of Amazing! It's pretty good in here, huh? Roald Dahl wrote James and the Giant Peach, but he also wrote the screenplays for both Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and You Only Live Twice. What a guy. Ian Fleming famously devised the character of James Bond, and still had time on his hands to come up with the original story for Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Imagine that!

Orange Film Club News just in, Sony have aquired the rights to make a film of Risk, the strategy board game of world domination. If it's anything like the game itself this could make for a long film! What do you guys think? Is this another sign of Hollywood running out of ideas (rumours last year had Ridley Scott down to direct the film adaptation of Monopoly!) What board games do you think would make for a good movie?

This week's a mixed bag with the first seasonal film hitting the screens in the form of Disney's 3D A Christmas Carol. While it's a fair call to say that most Game-to-Film adaptations fold quicker than Superman on laundry day, with big JB on the case, this little chocolate shows promise. I'll reserve judgement until the big day.
