Orchestras Canada Huzzah! The federal Standing Committee on Finance released its pre-budget consultation report yesterday. Recommendations include 2 of the 3 things Orchestras Canada (among others) suggested to the committee: increased funding for the Canada Council AND consideration of a "stretch" tax credit, to encourage giving by middle-income Canadians!

Basic idea: a bigger tax credit on increases to total giving, year over year, on gifts between $200 and $10,000.
