On Nov. 16, 1959, Brad, Bruce and Bryant Ruder - identical triplets - were born at Saint Francis Medical Center. Their mother was told they were one of the first sets of triplets born here at that time. They were delivered by Dr. Paul Roark.
There is a picture on the history wall of Sister M. Aeterna holding all three b...oys when they were just days old.
Their mother, Marty Gauthier, just learned of the picture on the wall a few months ago. She now lives out east. In honor of their 50th birthday, the Ruder triplets, their mom, Marty, and dad, Bill, came to Saint Francis to have a picture taken in front of the one taken to commemorate their birth. All three boys and their father still live locally in the Washigton - Eureka, IL area.
