Greater Ottawa County United Way Visit Zeeland’s Main St. this Thursday or Friday night from 5-8. Find candy stocking stuffers at Main Street Sweets or Bunte’s Pharmacy, a unique and lasting toy at Harbor Toy, a charming hostess gift at “My Favorite Dish and Gifts” or “On Silver Shores,” or a beautiful scarf or handbag at Clothes Junkie, Jumee’s Worl...d or Bella Donna Boutique. (And if you’re hungry, the olive burgers at Frank's are the best $3.40 dinner around!) Elves are handing out flyers that contain coupons for nearly every store. Come enjoy the carols, the horses clip-clopping by, and the voices of children who are excited at just having met Santa. Wear your LIVE UNITED pins and let the merchants know you appreciate their partnership with United Way. Hope to see you in Zeeland! Greater Ottawa County United Way Due to weather conditions the Feel the Zeel of Giving Activities in Downtown Zeeland have been canceled for tonight (Thursday). As of now Friday’s events will still take place as scheduled.

The Main Street DDA of Grand Haven and the downtown merchants are holding a downtown Christmas Tree walk through the month of December, beginning December 5th. Participating businesses will have a 3-4ft tall tree decorated in creative themes for Christmas. The trees will be truly unique! The trees will be unveiled o...n December 5th and will either be on the sidewalk or within the store while the business is open. There are over twenty businesses participating which should make for a fun walking tour of downtown. Besides having unique trees in downtown people can vote for their favorite tree by donating loose change, dollar bills or more with all of the money being donated to the Greater Ottawa County United Way. Each store will have a box at their counter where donations can be made and a store winner will be announced in January. Each store will also have a full listing of participating businesses so that you can make sure to visit each one! Participating businesses include:

Greater Ottawa County United Way Horsedrawn trolley rides, caroling, free giftwrapping, treats and specials in all the shops, and a portion of sales on all six nights will be donated to United Way -- it's the true spirit of Christmas, come alive in Zeeland.
