there's a lot of motivation in numbers.. a bunch of us started going to a f...itness session last year in advance of the bosphorus swim (6 miles trhough the centre of istanbul, current assisted, recommended it to anyone ) and are still going a year later

the genius of it is that all you have to do is show up and they do the rest.. 90 minutes later (3 times longer than i'd normally spend in a pool) you;'re fit and happy and can swim better

hi emma .. what fine taste you have in swims... we will be doing swims over the summer, featuring the new oss hot tub to really kick back and enjoy the scenery on the swim & kick back and enjoy a hot tub and wood smoke after... we are not going to try and compete with the likes of great north swim in size of event/ sp...onsorship that requires, but hope to have regular society swims of different lengths and for different experience levels. We'll have some 5km and some longer ones - after a few years of meandering a few of the team want to experience what it's like to do a much longer swim. But I also hope that we can encourage members to do novice swims for new members, just to give up a morning to take people on their first wild swim.
How exactly it is all going to pan out depends a bit on what BLP, who are investigating the legal side for us, come back and say about our liability. Will keep everyone posted via the website/newslettters, KateRead More
