Thank you to the new Girl Scout Brownie Troop at Harrison Elementary for collecting food for Ozarks Food Harvest as your very first group activity!
The small group brought in a very large donation - 330 lbs. of food items! That's more than some of our larger groups bring in.
We were very glad you toured The Food Bank and... had so many good questions for us.
The Brownie Troop also created Hope Notes for our Weekend Backpack Program backpacks. If your child's group would like to have a similar activity at Ozarks Food Harvest, please call us (417) 865-3411. Our conference room is available at no cost for meetings, birthdays and more!

Congressman Roy Blunt visited Ozarks Food Harvest on 11/11/09 for the presentation of a check from Target and to take a tour of the new warehouse.
“The work of The Food Bank is a thing for families and particularly when you find families now displaced with unemployment numbers, which is the highest they have been since ...1982. You’re seeing families you haven’t seen before, families are wondering where they can get help who haven’t had to wonder about where to get help before and so this is a particularly important moment,” Blunt said.
The $5,000 donation will help Ozarks Food Harvest distribute $50,000 worth of food items through the Feeding Families Initiative.
Ozarks Food Harvest Congressman Roy Blunt will present Ozarks Food Harvest with a check to support the Feeding Hope Initiatives today (Nov 11) at 11:00 am at The Food Bank.
