NAGRAJ The character inspired by NAGAS from Hindu mythology (semi-divine creatures, human down to the waist & a serpent from the waist down), historical Vishmanushya (venomous human). The storylines employ a rich blend of mythology, fantasy, sci-fi & adventure. NAGRAJ... was originally conceived as an enemy of international terrorism (an idea well ahead of its times) & the debut issue "Nagraj" was penned by renowned writer PARSHURAM Sharma and created by PRATAP Mulick. The modern mythology behind NAGRAJ's snake abilities, his "divine" origins are told in later stories by Writer-Artist ANUPAM Sinha, who also explored origins of Nagdant - a jealous, comparatively weaker copy of NAGRAJ made by Professor Nagmani (NAGRAJ's so called creator).
