The event, produced by Karmen Dopslaff and Expect A Miracle…Now, Foundation, features music performed by a host of John Denver's talented former band members, songwriters and friends. Chris Nole, who recorded with John from 1994 until his tragic death in 1997, served as the Music Director for the tribute.
Many of the gifted writers whose songs helped catapult John Denver into chart-topping success were among this years' performers, including John Sommers, writer of "Thank God I'm A Country Boy," Bill Danoff, writer of "Take Me Home Country Roads," and fan favorite Mollie Weaver. Also joining the stage again this year were Denver's former guitar player, Pete Huttlinger; Colorado's troubador, Jim Salestrom; Mack Bailey, the celebrated tenor; Denver's banjo player Herb Pedersen; Denny Brooks; Alan Deremo; Kenn Roberts, and crowd favorite Gary Mule Deer.
