If you walk down the streets of Leh you find hundreds of shops selling t-shirts based on various treks in Ladakh. Ask any of them for a Nebuk La t-shirt and you are met with a blank stare. Nebuk La pass is hardly on the tourist map. This is one of the reasons why I thought of attempting this trek.

Gearing up mentally, to trek in unknown terrains, tough weather conditions, mostly on one’s own, was my first step to beginning the journey to the Valley of Flowers & Hemkunt Saheb in the Garhwal Mountains.

18 Days Oh Eun-sun, 43, a South Korean climber, soon to become the first female 14 x 8000ers summiteer, is on her way to the Annapurna Summit (the last peak) and should have summitted by now. She started 2 am on Friday from Camp 3.
