18 Days
When does 18 days cease to be a mere 18 days?

When can they be 'like nothing you have experienced'?

When can they be remembered and enshrined?

When do they become a beginning?

18 Days Welcome to the CHADAR Trek! One of the rarest treks in the world, the Chadar is nothing but the layer of ice, thick and thin, that floats on the top of the remote Zangskar and the Indus rivers. Come December and the edges of the rivers begin freezing and form a complete bridge by the end of January when the temperature...s are at their lowest, also the best time to walk on it. The journey commences Jan 22nd 2010. Come join us for never before experiences and discoveries. You don't wanna miss this one. http://www.18days.in/the-journeys/e-chadar-trek.html

18 Days After tackling saltwater records all over the globe, in April of 2010 Pugh plans to swim in a glacial lake on the Khumbu Glacier under the summit of Mt. Everest. "This swim is being billed by a number of swimming websites as the most difficult swim ever to be attempted," said Pugh. "The combination of the water tempera...ture (approximately 0 degrees centigrade), fresh water (no buoyancy compared to salt water) and the altitude contribute to this." http://outside-blog.away.com/blog/2009/12/adventure-lab-worlds-ultimate-cold-water-swimmer.html

18 Days This has to be one of the most unique mountain biking trips going as it is surely a rare glimpse within a Kingdom that has an enforced border requiring a permit and limiting terrain locked between Himalayan peaks and the Tibetan plateau. We are dropped by plane amidst 7000meter peaks in the historic Annapurna’s (the 1s...t peak ever climbed in Nepal) with Tibet just to the north and some 5000meters descent into Pokhara Valley which will require a 3 week (21 day) round trip. http://www.18days.in/the-journeys/the-mustang-frontier-mountain-biking-tour.html

A supported mountain biking tour, beyond comparison that takes you into the rare environment of the Mustang frontier overlooking the central heartlands of Tibet on the edge of the Annapurna Mountain Region via Jomson.
18 Days

18 Days You fly in from Pokhara directly to Jomson at 2970 Mtr altitude (for the half-circuit of the Annapurna route) and ride to the edge of the Thorung La pass, at about 3800m altitude. Over the next 7 days you ride to holy lakes, razor ridgetop trails, single trail descents over 100’s of meters deep, heart pumping climbs t...hrough mystic Mustang border villages and ultimately descend through the jaws of the deepest canyon in the world – The Kali Gandaki! This continuous descent amidst some of the most famous Himalayan peaks has been described by many as the high point of their mountain biking lives. Finally a couple of days rest in Pokhara lazing around Phewa Tal Lake to return to reality & have time for this accomplishment to sink in. http://www.18days.in/the-journeys/the-annapurna-half-circuit-mountain-biking-tour.html

A dream. The dream. How much can a new mountain addict walk? That to a double header! Ramnik finished the Nebuk La Trek and then went on to summit Stok Kangri! Very few amonsgt us can do what he did. It calls for gumption and tremondous res...olve of the heart and mind. Which is why we at 18 Days salute him for being the last great solo traveller!

If you walk down the streets of Leh you find hundreds of shops selling t-shirts based on various treks in Ladakh. Ask any of them for a Nebuk La t-shirt and you are met with a blank stare. Nebuk La pass is hardly on the tourist map. This is one of the reasons why I thought of attempting this trek.
