On 21 DEC The Police Benevolent Association of the New York State Troopers donated approximately 2,000 toys to the families of 2BCT. The toys consist of the popular sock monkey stuffed animal and puzzles donated by Orange County Choppers. Their generosity will go to ensure the families of the Commando brigade have a happy holiday season.

2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division Soldiers from the 210 BSB and 2nd Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment, assisted Iraqi federal police in moving barriers from Joint Security Station Loyalty to polling site locations in Baghdad Al-Jadida. The purpose is to secure election sites and help Iraqi civilians feel safe enough to go out and vote.

2-14 IN held a party on 12 DEC 2009 at the
Hillside Lodge from 1-3. We had about 100 people attend. During the party
there were crafts for children, banners for the Soldiers were signed and are
being sent to each 2-14 company in Iraq and the special guest was Santa.
