AA_Traffic Christchurch isn't the only place with problems. Now we have flooding and slips around the Manawatu and Wairarapa.

Severe flooding and rock slips have forced the closure of major roads in the central North Island, including two State Highways.

AA_Traffic Thinking of the people in Christchurch today. A number of roads are closed and police ask if you don't need to go to the CBD today, please stay away so that the agencies can assess the situation. Christchurch Airport is closed. You can check road information on AA Roadwatch www.roadwatch.co.nz and select Christchurch

Use AA Maps to locate businesses, restaurants, stores, homes and more. Our map pages include reviews of businesses in the area, things to do and places to see.

AA_Traffic The first giant truck arrives on our roads today, driving its maiden journey from Auckland to Palmerston North. If anyone sees it, let us kow what you think or send us a photo if you can.

One of the first of a new breed of super-sized trucks is about to hit the roads while doubling as a giant moving billboard depicting an idyllic rural scene.

AA_Traffic Do you use the Wellington Street onramp to the Northern Motorway? As of now it is closed for 3 months as they work on the new Victoria Park tunnel. How will it affect you? What alternate route will you use? Will you drive at a different time?

North Shore commuters will face extra delays driving home from Auckland for three months from this afternoon while the Wellington St motorway on-ramp is closed for construction work
