ABSENTEE PLAY HOXTON BAR AND KITCHEN, JUNE 10TH TO CELEBRATE THE RELEASE OF “THE BITCHSTEALER E.P
An itinerary may help:
Doors will op...en at 7.30 pm, though the bar is open from mid day if you need a long run up to the event or happen to be travelling from overseas on an early flight ( hi there Bruce Willis, thanks for the flowers ..The card attached was touching to say the least).
At 8.30pm Hjaltalin will play, they make a very pleasant racket indeed, it reminds us a little of the divine comedy but they’re from Iceland and so also has a touch of Belle and Sebastian occurs.
In between acts and fresh from a tour of pig sheds... superstar dj Miss Steven Adams from the Broken Family Band will be playing records.
At 9.15 folk-rock troubadour and ex boxer Findlay Brown will appear on stage to knock you out with a selection of songs played on an acoustic guitar.
Steven will then play more records and demonstrate why he was chosen as “disc jockey of the year” by www.help,imspinning.com
Then at 10pm sharp we shall take to the stage and attempt to woo you with a greatest hits set peppered with tracks from the new album “Victory Shorts” that may confuse the simpler members of the audience… first aid and counselling can be found in the far left corner of the venue, next to the merch desk.
