ACP Virginia Chapter Just thought I'd share: an 87 year-old retired naval captain came in today for a follow-up. His systolic pressure was more than 40mmHg higher than his usually ideal pressures. After much discussion, he explains that he has been arguing with his assisted living co-residents about their ignorance of what is actually in the current healthcare reform proposals. I gave him a copy of Bill's summary.
ACP Virginia Chapter Please take some time to read the excellent summary of current healthcare reform proposals written by Dr. Bill Fox, the Chair of the VA ACP's Health & Public Policy Committee. He has managed to distill over a thousand pages of legislation into an understandable precis. There is so much misinformation being aired in the media that I urge you to take a look at what is actually in the proposed legislation.
