ACRES: Animal Concerns Research and Education Society (Singapore) We believe that every individual is important. Every animal has the right to a life free from pain, discomfort and abuse at the hands of humans.
Ending the suffering of even just one animal is important and worthwhile to us.

ACRES: Animal Concerns Research and Education Society (Singapore) Today, AWRC welcomed 2 more victims of the illegal wildlife trade - Star tortoises. Thanks to the member of public who rescued them from the trash and called us. Named Yogi and Booboo, they are currently under observation, settling in slowly - glad that they are eating already. Check out the photos in 'our animals' album!

ACRES: Animal Concerns Research and Education Society (Singapore) is back from Lao, had good meetings, rescued a monitor lizard from a restuarant and gave bears in tiny cages some frutis which they loved. One step closer towards rescuing them!

Natalie Cook

Natalie Cook Hello ACRES, just to say Merry Xmas to all the staff and volunteers who have worked so hard over the year, thanks from all the animals you have saved whether through awareness to the public or actually going out and rescuing them! You are all unsung heroes, especially those working seven days a week most of the time!
B...ig love to those working Xmas Day, you are super stars! Well done again guys, looking forward to a new 2010 with less shark fin soup on the menu, less factory farming, a reduction in the trade of endangered animals and no more demeaning circus shows in zoos!
Well done again to all of you!

NEW YEAR WISH LIST FOR 2010 We urgently need a lot of equipment to make the ACRES Wildlife Rescue Centre (AWRC) operational. If we can get these items donated (second-hand is fine), it means that more of the funds raised can go directly to the animals. ...
