Diversity is fine but having a well-qualified and experienced staff should take priority over any other employee parameter.

Lou - I actually agree with you here. In our neck of the woods, we really don't have access to a diverse work force. I cannot remember the last time we even had a minority in any of our med tech classes. We have our own class at our lab (four students, who just took the registry and all passed it :-)), and we also get two students from Bowling Green State Univ. which is just south of Toledo, who rotate through. Perhaps it's different in other states, but not here.

Gary Brown

Gary Brown Does anyone have any experience working in a "cell"? It's Hemo, UA, Chem and Coag, lined up like an assembly line. You walk around for 8 hours, no chairs allowed, resulting tests at each station for a few minutes at a time and then move on to the next station. I'm not too crazy about it, but I've only been doing it a month so we'll see. Just curious if anyone else has any expericence with this concept.
